Installation Of The Goose Neck Steering Assembly & Bearing
On The Front End:
1. Each scooter will be checked for proper packing of the bearings.
Each bearing must be greased well before installation into the gooseneck
steering assembly. Grease will be inserted into the gooseneck before
the pre-greased bearing is installed. Enough grease must be pushed
into the bearings before installation into the gooseneck steering
assembly as shown in the above picture. If each bearing both on
the top side and on the bottom side of the goose neck steering assembly
is not properly packed with grease you will stop production on this
scooter until the bearing(s) are properly packed with grease.
2. Each scooter will be inspected to make sure that the 4 black
Allen bolts shown in the picture above are tightened.
3. Each scooter should have 1 set of a total of 2 ignition keys
attached to the gooseneck by a rubber band as shown in the above
picture. If you find any scooters with NO keys attached you will
stop production on this scooter until the factory worker puts a
set of keys on the scooter.
4. Each gooseneck / steering assembly will be Chrome in color and
made sure it is welded straight. You will look at each and every
scooter to make sure that the gooseneck assembly is welded on straight.
